Master of Divinity

Degree

This is the standard theological degree obtained by clergy across North America degree designed to equip pastors and others in related ministries with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for their calling. This degree program is a survey of all major areas of biblical, theological, historical and practical disciplines related to the Christian Ministry.


Requirements

  • The prerequisite for this degree is a B.A. degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university.
  • A total of 92 credit hours is required for the completion of the degree, of which 14 credit hours are electives.

Master of Religious Education Degree

Degree

This degree program is designed primarily for the person who plans to perform various educational ministries in the church, including the educator role of the pastor, youth minister, children’s worker, singles director, etc. The M.R.E. degree is designed with great flexibility so that an individual student can concentrate his or her focus in particular areas of study. The practical nature of this degree provides a ministry foundation for vocational or volunteer ministry in the church, denomination or mission field.


Requirements

  • The prerequisite for this degree is a B.A. degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university.
  • A total of 64 credit hours is required for the completion of the degree, of which 13 credit hours are electives. The degree can be completed in two years.
